In this episode of "Failing to Success", Chad Kaleky interviews Joe Sanders, the owner of Relevant Elephant, a digital marketing agency. Joe shares his experiences and how he got into the digital marketing space. He started in the restaurant business and began doing marketing for restaurants. When he started, digital marketing was just being introduced, and he had to figure it out as he went. Now, nearly 20 years later, he has been doing it since the beginning, and Relevant Elephant has been in business for eight years.
Joe says that there have been many obstacles during the eight years Relevant Elephant has been in business. To start the company, he had to quit his job and take a risk. He believes that there's a healthy amount of failure that people need in their lives because it's necessary. He thinks that stress is good because it helps people make decisions, and failure and stress help people avoid making really bad decisions. He learned a lot from his bosses who allowed him to fail and get a healthy relationship with it, which helped him overcome obstacles when he started his own company.
Joe believes that when people are backed into a corner, they find out what they're made of. He is comfortable with things not going exactly the way he wants and believes that failure is essential for success. He encourages people not to be afraid of failure because it's necessary for growth.
